When a business you refer becomes a managed Open Choice Digital client, you earn account credit equal to one month of your current managed plan. They receive the same dollar amount off their website setup, up to 50% of the setup fee.

The referred client signs a website proposal, pays the setup invoice, and starts an Open Choice Digital managed plan.

After the referred client completes the setup payment and first full monthly payment, your referral credit becomes active.
How the matched reward works
The reward is based on the referrer's current managed-plan price. If you pay $70 per month, you earn a $70 Open Choice Digital credit and the new client receives $70 off setup.
If your monthly plan is higher than half of the referred client's setup fee, your account credit is still based on your full monthly rate, but the new client's setup discount stops at 50% of their setup price.

Referral program rules
The goal is to reward clients who introduce us to businesses that are a good fit, while keeping the program simple and sustainable.

Why managed plans start with a six-month commitment
A managed website is more than server space. Launch includes setup, deployment, technical configuration, testing, monitoring, and ongoing responsibility for the environment the website runs on. The initial six-month commitment gives both sides enough time for that work to have real value and keeps short-term cancellations from shifting the cost of setup and management onto other clients.
After the initial six months, managed service continues month to month unless the signed proposal says otherwise. Source-code handoff and migration are handled under the service terms. During the initial commitment, an early exit does not automatically include source transfer or migration assistance unless the remaining commitment is satisfied or a separate early-termination arrangement is agreed in writing.
